VLADISLAV PANTIC

Hello my fairy friends,

 My name is Vladislav Pantic,I was born in 1985. In Belgrade, Serbia.

Creating my own relationship with the stories and fairytales that I’ve been listening as a child I gently stepped into the world that exist along with this one. In that apparently different world I’ve found an inexhaustible source of ideas and inspiration.

 I always felt that the picture should tell the story, that the information should be right there. I had my pure revelation when I, as a kid, realized that everything in the world was designed by someone, by an artist -things didn't just appear spontaneously. So, it is the intelligence of nature that inspired me. Every time I looked at a tree or a rock or a stream, I realized that everything had a life to it, had a soul. I tried to paint that, and as I painted, faeries and spirits of nature appeared.

 I can’t prove you that faeries exist, I can just give you my glimpse of these other worlds that you can contact with your opened heart. The question is how you experience reality, that intricate and subtle thing you call real, is your personal creation? In this way, everything is a reflection of an aspect of yourself, and when you look at my paintings, they are reflection of reality that I perceive.

 Firstly, no matter what you believe, there is one thing that unites all peoples, and that is this: the filling and beautiful feeling, the existence of love in each persons heart. It is there in everyone, everything, every person and object and idea and feeling. It is the basis of everything.  It is the base substance, out of which everything else exists.
 If it is not love, it is not there, it is an illusion of the ego, the mind. I think often you experience faeries as pure energy first and then the human mind tries to channel it into something that understands. The human mind that understands the human form wants to put a face, wants to put a body on it, and that’s how my characters emerge on the canvas.

 So, as you can see, painting is not just some craft for me, it’s a philosophy, the way that you speak, walk, think, the way that you live your life.
