DAR AL NAIM MUBARAK CARMONA
The Human kind has a huge defect, which is the need to name everything.
My work deceits the already written words and transform these into a
visual multicultural maze of meaning thought and feelings. I like to
alter meaning by transforming the known and flipping its connotations
towards my flow of expression.
This flow of expression is derived
from my environment, the societies, the issues, corruption and the human
presence on earth. I
focus mostly on the environment, the evolution of mankind and his
material wealth.
Never looking for anything, yet
looking at every thing. Every one. People and patterns was the first
strong inspiration. The Humanness of things. In my findings I have
approached a strong sense towards words and text. And how powerful these
are regarding the everyday life. Affected by language, communication,
speech, sounds and authority.
I felt a sense of chaos, a sense
of pity and blame that is heavy and voluminous on human’s shoulders. I
am not pointing at any individuals, but talking about mass, reproduction
and waste. The universal sadness, that exists inside every individual. I
was once more positive about this subject. More of an optimist. I
haven’t lost it, but I have come down to a fifty/fifty state. I find it
easier to relate to those whom are missing something, those whom are sad
and don’t think this is the way things should be. I believe that sadness
is universal; we all feel it at some point during our everyday life. It
is tight shut in little cells, away from the public. I want to expose
this, not in a negative or positive way, but just so that it can be
accepted. It can be visually understood. My work is of authentic people
with their emotional and physical baggage exposed.
I have been working on documenting
these moments in which I feel a connection with a place, with a thought,
with a person or just the sight of something worth keeping in my mind
